Skinny McCord - Percy Keese Fitzhugh

A shy and underestimated scout nicknamed “Skinny” struggles when his half-brother Danny escapes from reform school and hides by assuming another boy’s identity at Temple Camp. Skinny faces a moral dilemma between loyalty to his brother and the rules of scouting. He takes bold, secretive actions—sneaking supplies, performing daring tasks at night, and entering contests—to help Danny stay undetected. In the climax, Skinny must reconcile his brother’s deception with his own honor and the expectations of his fellow scouts.
